Domaine Julien Meyer
In the small world of "natural wines"Patrick Meyer is an emblematic figure and a highly respected vigneron. He did not
wait until "vins nature" were fashionable, he has been raising his wines (reds and whites) without any sulfites for more than 10 years now.
Active supporter of Biodynamics, here is a man who is convinced of the importance and of the influence of global
cosmic cycles on the behaviour of living beings. He is definitely more interested by soil microbiology than by supposed efficiency of modern oenology.
Patrick runs a 8 hectares vineyard in Nothalten (Northern vineyards in Alsace) and produces a wide variety of cuvées, all
sincere et singular. He does not like rich and opulent wines, nor highly alcoholic wines. He likes elegant, digestible, living wines that are not filtered, fined, nor sulphured, for you know that
sulfites make the wine sad on top of big headaches...
